Donations may be made in Frazer's name to the Nature Conservancy of Canada. As per Frazer's wishes, there will not be a funeral but a celebration of life will be held when it is safe to do so. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He was a member of the Oxford Philatelic Society, Woodstock Field Naturalists, was chair of the Woodstock Heritage Advisory Committee and a member of the Victoria Club.Īlthough his life was full, his retirement was cut short. He was an avid bird watcher, stamp collector, a lifelong bookworm, and loved old movies and genealogy.

He found great joy in small things, loved telling stories and had many of them. The family continued travelling, living in Egypt, Canada, Philippines, Hong Kong, Trinidad and Tobago and Sri Lanka, before he returned to Canada.įrazer was a wonderful father and grandfather and a caring husband. His first posting in Tokyo Japan was also the birthplace of his daughter and was followed by Jamaica, Pakistan and London, England where his son was born. There he earned his PhD in Geography and met his wife Sharon when she was working at London University Hospital.įrazer worked with the Canadian Diplomatic Service for over three decades. He traveled Asia and Europe and came back to Canada to attend Waterloo Lutheran University and University of Western Ontario.

After growing up in Southern Ontario he began what would be a lifelong love of travel. He is survived by granddaughters Aylee and Isla.īorn in Pitlochry, Scotland to Lloyd and Sheila Mark (nee Smith), Frazer moved to Canada as an infant aboard the RMS Queen Mary. He was surrounded by his loving wife and fellow adventurer Sharon Mark (nee Faulkner), his daughter Mariko Aguiar (nee Mark) and his son Joshua Flark (nee Mark). It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frazer John Mark on December 16, 2020.
